Will large satellite dishes be installed on the campus?
No, Your campus typically requires only 1 rooftop dish, as small as 3ft. in diameter.
Can I get HD channels?
Yes, you can get both local and customized HD programming.
How long does an installation take?
Installation time varies depending on the work needed to be performed. A typical installation consisting of a new headend and additional wiring runs between 1-3 weeks. Extensive work may take up to 6 weeks. (Times may vary due to the complexity of work requested, however, a timeline will be provided.)
Who will program and maintain the system?
College Cable Services will program and maintain the private system.
Who owns the wire after it is installed?
The institution owns the wire immediately after it is wired. College Cable owns the head-end equipment and distribution electronics, unless the institution wants to purchase the equipment.
Can I get these same features and incentives from the local cable company?
No. The local company system in not set-up for such features as a dedicated information channel, educational channels, or customized programming.
How do you do your billing?
We bill 9 months, 12 months, or provide a customized billing program.
